Self-Publishing and Tuition (Reanna)
Sunday, 7 August 2022 12:00Turns out, if you fail one semester, RRCC will yank your financial aid as a punishment. People who fail the first one are denied aid and NOT put on Warning. Ignorance of the policy is not a valid reason to appeal. Even worse, we can't register for classes until we pay the balance! It's like they WANT people to drop out!
And the enrollment appeal the Financial Aid Director sent us? We can't do that either! First, you must pay the tuition credit IN FULL. Second, losing your aid because you failed one semester is not a valid reason to appeal. We don't have three thousand dollars! That's why we applied for aid!
Because we're not as confident about our SAP being accepted, we're going to look towards Barnes & Noble Press to pay for our outstanding balance of over three thousand dollars. We made an account two or three years ago with the intent to sell stories. All we need is a bank account.
Royalties over ten dollars are paid every month. That's the stable source of income my mom said I needed before she'd let me have my own bank account.
Depending on who you ask, hoping Carnival sells is worse than doing nothing. But we're desperate! We need that money to continue college!
Brian thinks it's his fault, even though F.M. bombed the tests first semester. Then, he apologizes for "failing" to save our aid even though it was out of his control. I don't like it when Brian feels that way. He was so happy when we passed our spring semester. It sucks to hear him say it was in vain.
